20 years developing and managing high performance sales teams for national retailers including Best Buy and TJX.
Most of my free time I try to spend with my Family. My wife and I have 3 children, so they keep us busy running from sport to sport. I also like to spend time in the backyard with them or travelling to show them new sights.
I’ve held various multi unit management positions over my 20+ years in retail. At Futureshop/Best Buy I was a district training manager prior to being a district manager overseeing big box stores from Windsor to Peterborough to Thunder Bay. At TJX (Winners, HomeSense and Marshall’s) I also oversaw stores of various sizes from Thunder Bay to Etobicoke. I was also responsible for the flagships stores and overseeing the creation and launch of the overnight receiving pilot. Here at Kognitive, I am the VP of sales and oversee card acquisition across the country. What I have learned over the years is that any great sales team is built on 2 things- Culture and People. If the company culture is great, then it attracts great people to it. It’s those people that believe in what the company stands for that will always do amazing work and take care of customers.
I believe my core strengths are humility and people development. For humility – I believe we should all be able to learn from each other as we all have unique strengths and perspectives. Being able to learn from anyone anywhere has been instrumental in my success. For people development – it is the number one thing that hill gets me excited each day. Being able to invest in others so that they are successful is truly life changing for everyone.
What I love most about my job is the people I get to work with each day. Our company is filled with great leaders who walk the talk and are there to help coach and train people to be better everyday. I also have the privilege of working with amazing associates in field and executives that are incredible.
