Canadian Tire wanted to increase the volume of applications for their Canadian Tire MasterCard at national CT Gas Bar locations. Historically, traffic in this channel was never high enough to warrant the activation of a promotional team.
Kognitive generated traffic at Gas Bar locations through a series of advertised events where gas was discounted by 5¢ a litre. While taking advantage of the savings at the pump, Gas Bar customers were approached by Kognitive Reps offering benefits of applying for the Canadian Tire MasterCard.
Kognitive Marketing created a new, proven channel for credit card acquisition for the Canadian Tire MasterCard team. This channel produced 20x the average rate of applications per day, and also decreased the cost per acquisition by 44%.
